upon irritating me
until i consider
measures like phones
i may decide to end it

the dance floor whispering
and pulling your hair close
to the scalp

turn my fingers into mechanical
pencils and draw all over your
arms and calves writing notes
in disappearing ink meant
only for you

then say something inaudible,
a breath really, in your brain's
canal, biting hold on the exit
ramp toward your neck

touching the inward wasting curves
of your center and the earl grey
teabag contour toward your divide
into spindle legs

with intention braided and reciprocal
we taxi away to my place
we undo into my bed where
i will not neglect your nipples

and in the morning you will never
speak to me again. problem solved.

FLESHWISE

we finally saw each other fleshwise
in my neighborhood former gay bar
tiny surprises of specifics but still
just as familiar with one another
as the intimate words of screens.

but after staring and quiet smiling
we could not share mouth words
after so long with typing and clicks.
so i produced paper and pen from my
purse and we had a real conversation.

pellets, writing, reading and occasionally speaking with tongue.

chu likes to consider herself tolerant. she may be too tolerant.

chu is currently married. she is probably too young for pregnancy.
