EDITOR'S NOTE
Welcome to our Brain Box!
I’ve been looking forward to this moment for a long time,
and I can only hope that you are as stoked as we are
to see the collective grey matter of so many brilliant artists
finally come to life on these pixilated pages.
Our vision stems from a true desire to create a space
that houses the diverse dreams of little-heard creators,
devoid of nepotism, abound with fresh voices and visions.
An amalgam of experimental artists of all mediums,
at every end of the spectrum.
In putting these pages together, we sought out
those whose work possessed brilliant realness.
non-academic genius. deviant humor. beautiful decay.
awkward moments. dark places. too-bright places.
Your words. Your art. the bizarre origins of this profound thing
we are blessed with out of the ether of our psyches:
creativity, the mounting tape
holding those fragments and visions and emotions
and colorful pictures together.
All while attempting not to take ourselves too seriously.
We believe we have created something different.
Something unique to the ever-burgeoning world of small press.
A place where there is some.thing for everyone.
This is just the beginning, our very first online issue,
and in a short time, we will expand to create a virtual playground
housing not only written word & visual art, but independent music
and film as well.
This is the end of silent static.
We’ve replaced it with your white noise,
and it sparkles.
Before signing off, I’d like to take a moment to genuinely thank
Billy Brazier for dedicating so much of his personal time,
not to mention elbow grease, in helping us put this site together
and make our vision a reality on digitized pulp.
Thank you for banking with us.
We hope you enjoyed your stay.
