Crystal Conover has been making art since she could hold something that made a mark. The ability to create life as she sees it does not come without the ability to experience the often terrifying, often devastating, undulations of life with open eyes. Inspired by such artists as Van Gogh, Hieronymus Bosch, Kara Walker, Jonathan Cammisa, and Eric Fiscal, Crystal’s work is created from pure emotion and questions human interaction, the ability for one another to love, and what people are truly capable of. As well as confusing most of her friends with her art, she is working toward her BFA in Painting. She previously attended FIDM in Los Angeles. Art seems to be the only way she knows how to communicate anymore.
